Tennis Fans are getting a rare treat from its friends at the Billie Jean King National Tennis Center. They already had FREE qualies and now a free Thursday too. That’s just totally awesome! The qualifying rounds worldwide should be FREE to keep tennis on everyone’s radar.

We thank the USTA. They don’t usually get much right. But they did with this. It’s basically a grounds pass. Spectators will see lots of great junior players (future stars) There will be Wheelchair tennis.( the athletes are so amazing.) And practice courts with the top pros and

Legend tennis and some great doubles too according to president Katrina Adams.

Come on out to the tennis and see the beautiful new site and tell your friends. Call in sick to work? Have Fun and remember always “keep your eye on the ball”…. Pancho Segura would tell you “keep your eyes on the balls”…..

 

 

 

U.S. Open Tennis News Flash — Bob and Mike Bryan to Play Last Scheduled Tournament Match on Louis Armstrong Stadium Today

 

DOUBLES LEGENDS BOB AND MIKE BRYAN TO PLAY LAST SCHEDULED MATCH ON ICONIC LOUIS ARMSTRONG STADIUM TODAY

 

Bob and Mike Bryan, the winningest men’s doubles team in history, will play the last scheduled match on the original Louis Armstrong Stadium today, closing out the iconic stadium’s final day of US Open tournament play.

 

The third-seeded Bryan brothers will face the eighth-seeded team of Feliciano Lopez and Marc Lopez, of Spain, in the last of three doubles quarterfinal matches scheduled today on the original Louis, which will see its 39-year run as one of the most iconic stadiums in tennis end following the conclusion of this year’s US Open. A new Louis Armstrong Stadium will debut for the 2018 US Open.

 

A final, farewell celebration to Louis Armstrong Stadium will be held on Thursday’s Community Day, which is free to attend. The celebration, beginning at 4 p.m., will feature a doubles exhibition with Tennis Hall of Famer Gigi Fernandez and former world No. 4 James Blake playing against several top American juniors, and a number of fans will have the opportunity to hit on the Louis Armstrong court.
