10sBalls Editors Notes: it’s Great to see BOAST back in tennis in a big way. Great to see them sponsoring this event. America has lost so many great events. Most tend to charge too much for tickets. Even grounds passes which are a mixed bag all the way around are too expensive.

Los Angeles once had a tennis tournament. (100years?) The “Tennis Undertakers” made it disappear.

For starters – Tennis needs better advance notice of the players scheduled to play. So tennis Fans can plan accordingly. Like say RAFA plays Wednesday night. ETC….

Tennis never used the “new math” to make players prize money part of the price of the tickets. That’s what the sponsors were for.

Lower the prices and you might see full stadiums. But let’s not get started on tennis stadiums…. They are toooooooo big. Just silly. And most have no shade anywhere.

If you build it – they will come…. it was a dumb line in a movie.

If you price it right and give tennis fans a great value for their money they will come. How’s that? Too simple? Too basic. (LJ)
