My unexpected moment of solitude today:

Craving a peaceful moment away from the crowds, I wander over to the majestic main stadium. Bright clay, freshly groomed, awaits the two warriors (Nadal & Kuznetsov). Peace resonates throughout the stadium in that quiet hour, just before the spectators arrive.

I imagine that a moment of peaceful focus (like my quiet moment in main stadium) is also necessary for tennis athletes, just prior to exploding into action and performance on court.

I smile in peace to honor the tennis warriors battling hard in Madrid this week, and hope they each experience quiet moments of beauty throughout the battle.
