DAVIS CUP BY BNP PARIBAS RESULTS

The ITF has announced the latest results for the Davis Cup by BNP Paribas World Group first round and Zone Group ties taking place on 4-6 March. A total of 32 ties are being held this weekend.

Marcos Baghdatis of Cyprus has set a new record for the longest Davis Cup singles winning streak at the Europe Zone Group III event in Tallinn, Estonia to help his country win promotion to Group II in 2017. Baghdatis’s four singles victories this week extended his winning streak to 36 rubbers to overtake the previous record holder Bjorn Borg, of Sweden, who won 33 consecutive singles rubbers. Estonia also won promotion to Group II in 2017.
