A post from our readers:
Outstanding customer service from Eurostar – the ITF media guide showed Lille as an option to get to Ghent, bypassing Brussels altogether so I rang to grovel, and the rep was so happy I was not cancelling. She altered my ticket, and made it later, told me what connections I would get at the other end and directions of how to get to the Lille-Flanders terminus and sorted out the tickets at the other end to come back via Lille.
Fans/friends who are looking for alternatives (Glenys Furness please pass on to the forumites) – please do give them a call if you were going to Eurostar and talk to them. There is no charge this week to change the tickets because of the circumstances.
Hope this helps anyone heading Ghent for the Davis Cup – Please share with anybody you know who was traveling via Brussels.
