Washington, D.C. Doubles Finals LIVE on Tennis Channel from the first point till the Last ball and even the trophy ceremony! Bravo Tennis Channel. It’s a big win for doubles. A big win for tennis!
Bob and Mike Bryan won their 108th career title. They are the best team in the history of the sport. They beat Ivan Dodig and Marcelo Melo 6-4,6-2. It was great. Their pops Wayne Bryan interviewed them on court. And mom Kathy was busy baby sitting Bob’s kids, Michaela and Bobby junior, and there’s a third on the way as Michelle looked very pregnant in the players box.
And the biggest surprise was Mardy Fish being a totally awesome commentator. His easy going personality and keen observations were refreshing. He was charming and didn’t over talk. Also add to that his tennis knowledge. No doubt he has a career in tennis commentating if he chooses.
It was amazeballs to watch the Bryan’s stay on court after the trophy ceremony and sign hundreds of autographs. Bravo. It was just great.
On to Brett Haber. BIG DOUBLEFAULT !!!
He barely knows tennis but that has never stopped him from his foot in mouth disease. But this time he has topped himself.
He really said this comment after a spectator in the front row had his glasses knocked off by an Isner serve. Ready …. Really are you ready … “The 1 percent get what you deserve if you are sitting in the front row “…….
Oh my gosh, That’s just terrible. What a shame that he doesn’t realize those are your sponsors or oldest ticket holders and supporters of the tourney.
Shameful. What if it was Larry Ellison in his front row seat in Indian Wells ? Tennis demographics include a heap of 1 percenters …. All the World Team Tennis owners for starters. You could feel Jim Courier who was in the booth with him cringe…. I’m still cringing.
Interesting listening from the TV to “Coach Justin”. He is so loud in his shouting to Isner you’d think he was ‘miked.’ He was practically broadcasting from the coaches box…
Let’s see more doubles LIVE on TV! It’s the sport most tennis players play. Last week we were treated to first round doubles but we think Andy Murray’s playing had something to do with that.
