What happens when Gael Monfils challenges ball kids to a basketball shoot out?

Gael Monfils is a showman on the tennis court, but what about the basketball court?

The top seed at the Konzum Croatia Open Umag was shooting hoops with one of his mates on Tuesday, but as a group of ball kids crowded the court, Monfils challenged them to a pick-up game.

What started as a friendly game turned into a competitive atmosphere, and no one wanted to lose! In the end, Monfils and his friend prevailed over the tournament ball kids 7-5.

The Frenchman will face Bastian Trinker in his opening match in Umag.
