MOSCOW, RUSSIA HOSTS THE BEACH TENNIS CHAMPIONSHIPS, NEWS FROM EVERY ONE OF THE 55 NATION'S PARTICIPATING

Please find below Wednesday’s results from the 2015 ITF Beach Tennis World Team Championship taking place in Moscow, Russia on 15-19 July. A record total of 28 nations are taking part in the fourth edition of the event, with Italy defending its title. Six nations are also contesting the inaugural Junior Team Championship.

 

The Team Championship is a mixed competition in which nations compete against each other on a knock-out basis. Each team is comprised of two men and two women, with ties consisting of a men’s doubles, women’s doubles and mixed doubles rubber.

 

The Team Championship joins the individual ITF Beach Tennis World Championships as the flagship events on the ITF Beach Tennis Tour. Since the launch of the Tour in 2008, worldwide participation has continued to grow each year. The 2015 Tour will see over 250 events held in 34 countries, while 55 nations are currently represented in the ITF Beach Tennis World Rankings.
