PULSE PLAY LAUNCHES INDIEGOGO CAMPAIGN FOR RACKET SPORT WEARABLE; WILL FOCUS ON TENNIS AND PING PONG  |

Three-Time Grand Slam Champion, Andy Ram, Turns to Crowdfunding for Digital Scorekeeping Solution

Pulse Play, the first complete social ranking and scorekeeping wearable of its kind, has today launched its Indiegogo campaign aimed to take the concept from operational prototype to a market ready product. The campaign will run for the next 30 days and will reward all donations via a tailored tiered prize list aimed at racket sports enthusiasts and “techies” alike. The team will be looking to raise $75,000 and top rewards include packaged offerings of Pulse Play units in conjunction with a chance to battle it out on the court with the company’s CEO, and three time Grand Slam champ Andy Ram, as well as VIP passes to the upcoming U.S. Open and French Open events.

The fledgling startup has developed the Pulse Play to settle an age-old problem among recreational racket sports players: accurate and reliable scorekeeping. The device, along with its online companion platform performs three main functions:

● Provides scorekeeping and live score announcements that allows for uninterrupted gameplay;

● Records game history and assigns the wearer a global ranking once a match is complete;

● As a worldwide social network, Pulse Play is able to connect players with new opponents in their area who play at the same level.

“The prospect of being able to bring professional scorekeeping and wearable technology to center courts across the world has our team eager to get the mass production process underway,” says Andy Ram, CEO, Pulse Play. “With just an easy click between points, players can have an accurate record of their progress at their fingertips. However, in order to bring this device to life and get it ready for market consumption, we’ll need the help of racket sport players at any level. With their commitment, we’ll be able to bring their games to the next level through technological innovation.

The racket sports market annually brings in about $25 – $30B worldwide – $6B of which comes from the U.S. alone – and accounts for around 275 million people around the world who engage in activities ranging from tennis and badminton, to ping pong and squash. Pulse Play will ultimately leverage these statistics as the company aims to achieve its objective during the Indiegogo campaign to bring the wearable to the masses.

Andy Ram partnered with venture building team, sFBI (Small Factory Big Ideas) to finalize the Pulse Play concept. As a veteran of the sport, Ram brought his expertise from the courts to the tech world, allowing the team at sFBI to capitalize on his knowledge to create a beautifully designed, practical product that can potentially change the face of racket sports the world over.
