MSG Sports and StarGames announced today a strong roster of marketing partners for the 8th annual BNP Paribas Showdown at Madison Square Garden on March 10, 2015. A wide range of returning and new marketing partners have signed on to showcase their brands at the one-night only special tennis event. Tennis superstar Roger Federer will face Grigor Dimitrov and tennis legends Monica Seles and Gabriela Sabatini will face each other in a 25th anniversary rematch of their famed 1990 five-set WTA Championship final.

Each year the BNP Paribas Showdown attracts the biggest names in tennis. Previous events have featured: Federer, Novak Djokovic, Andy Murray, Pete Sampras, Rafael Nadal, Andre Agassi, Andy Roddick, Ivan Lendl, Juan Martin del Potro, Bryan Brothers, John and Patrick McEnroe, Serena and Venus Williams, Maria Sharapova, Kim Clijsters, Victoria Azarenka, Caroline Wozniacki, Svetlana Kuznetsova, Ana Ivanovic and Jelena Jankovic, who all helped provide unforgettable memories for New York tennis fans.

Headlined by BNP Paribas, returning for the seventh consecutive year as the title sponsor, this year’s event includes new partners CrowdRX, Flex 24, Oscar de la Renta, Celebrity Cruises, Infor, One Strings, HEAD Penn Racquet Sports, Shire Pharmaceuticals, Coloredge along with returning partners Delta Air Lines, Coca-Cola, Getty Images, JW Marriott Essex House, Kia Motors, SAP, Optimum, Nespresso, Tennis.com, Rolex and the USTA.

“This year’s BNP Paribas Showdown has attracted a world-class roster of marketing partners that will join us as we build upon Madison Square Garden’s long history of hosting thrilling tennis moments,” said Ron Skotarczak, executive vice president of marketing partnerships, The Madison Square Garden Company. “This year’s event features two dynamic match ups that will captivate tennis fans and provide partners with an incredible platform to showcase their respective brands at The World’s Most Famous Arena.”

All marketing partners will receive multi-platform integration at the event, including on-site signage throughout The Garden, exposure on GardenVision, the center-hung scoreboard, placement in the official event program, and in-arena PA reads. Select partners will receive added exposure through incorporation in national print, television, and digital advertising as well as involvement in a number of pre-event activities, including a USTA 10-and-under tennis clinic prior to the feature matches of the evening. The Showdown will be broadcast live internationally in more than 57 countries, providing partners additional value outside of The Garden.

“Each year we see more activation by our sponsor partners which is one of the things we strive for,” said Jerry Solomon, President, StarGames Inc. “The promotions are great for exposure and also illustrate the marketing power of world class sporting events.”

Marketing partners for the Showdown are also leveraging the strength of the event through a variety of promotions and hospitality event integration: BNP Paribas returns as the Showdown title sponsor and is spearheading an out of home marketing campaign throughout NYC and once again hosting “the largest party” in tennis in the Theater at MSG prior to the matches. Delta Air Lines will host a Sky Miles auction for a chance to attend a clinic with one of the players; Flex 24 will be announcing a new partnership with a tennis legend; Getty will once again supply all images; in addition to their permanent display inside Chase Square, Kia Motors will display the 2015 K900 flagship sedan courtside inside of the arena; Head/Penn will provide the official tennis balls and sponsor the junior match; One Strings is introducing their World Tennis Day licensed string; Oscar de la Renta will outfit the hostesses for the BNP Paribas pre-match VIP party; Rolex will supply the official clocks; Shire Pharmaceuticals is piggybacking on their new relationship with Monica Seles; the USTA Foundation will serve as the official charity for the second consecutive year and will be auctioning off a Cortney Wall painting on www.charitybuzz.com/WorldTennisDay, with proceeds benefiting the USTAF; JW Marriott Essex House will be the Official Hotel for the BNP Paribas Showdown eight years running and will host the pre-match media day and the World Tennis Day Welcome Reception.

Tickets for the 2013 BNP Paribas Showdown start at $50.00 and are currently on sale at the Madison Square Garden box office, all Ticketmaster outlets and online at www.thegarden.com.
