Federer Has Saved His Outfits Used Over The Years

With tennis clothing changes a near-monthly exercise for style icon and marketing machine Roger Federer, the world No. 2 believes he needs some way to hold onto a few sartorial memories.

Hence, the personal Federer Nike home have samples of almost all of the outfits he’s worn over his world-beating career spanning one and a half decades and counting.

The six-time winner in Dubai revealed that he has multiple copies of every outfit he’s worn as a pro – save a few from the early days before he had the idea to start saving them. “I have to take care of them. And of course I missed some of the outfits early on in my career because I didn’t think I was going to have a career,” he said to some laughter.

“I give a lot to charity, of course. And if I have enough, I give to friends and family,” said the 33-year-old. “And then I always keep probably three of each outfit.

“They are in a closet – in an archive – just because I feel like I have to keep these things, because I never want to look back and think like, oh, I wish I still had that outfit. Maybe one day I can give it away again to somebody.
