NOVAK, THE GRAND SLAM QUEST BY DUSAN VEMIC  |

Novak Djokovic ( @DjokerNole ), 2015 Australian open champion!

Today’s match vs Andy Murray ( @andy_murray ) where Murray has shown that he is finally 100% healthy after his back surgery. The match was up in the air and could have, quite frankly, really had gone either way until the key break Nole made in the third set (4/3), and solidifying it by holding his own serve to close the third set 6/3.

It has almost seemed as he (Novak), in that moment, has switched into yet another gear, and… That was that.

The quicker conditions made a match interesting on another level. The tempo of the game was so insanely fast, where both guys transitioned from defense to offense in a split second, still playing within themselves working to create the opportunity to attack.

In the end Novak was the more stubborn one, and has definitely impressed us with the way he imposed his game plan ’til the end.

Again, the one that handled the stress and adversity of the moment and the weight and the magnitude of the Grand Slam finals, took the Norman Brookes Challenge Cup home..

P. S. Not to be bias ( I am ), Novak Djokovic is, by showing his game has evolved yet to another, higher and even more complete level, given himself a great opportunity to win a Grand Slam in 2015 (the only players in the history to win it are Don Budge in 1938 and Rod Laver 1962 & 1969).

There are some major obstacles that he will face ( Roger, Rafa, Andy, Kei, Milos, Grigor, just to name a few )who will do their best to stop him.

 

I am sure that all this will make the 2015 tennis season a super exciting one!
