Bob Bryan and Mike Bryan captured their 102nd tour title on Sunday at the Paris Master Series Event as they defeated Marcin Matkowski of Poland and Austrian Jurgen Melzer 7-6(5), 5-7, 10-6 in the final. It is the Bryans’ 32nd Masters 1000 in their 50th final.
The Bryans, who have already secured the year-end #1 spot in the ATP Doubles Rankings, now go to the World Tour Finals looking to win their 10th title of the season. The season finale begins in London at The O2 on Sunday, 9 November.
“We’re very happy to win Paris again, especially since we had to beat four quality teams along the way,” said Mike. “We hope to keep our level high going into the last tournament of the season.”
“It was a hard fought match and we were fortunate to hit some good shots late in the breakers,” said Bob Bryan. “Hats off to Jurgen and Marcin on a great run this week.”
Victory for the Bryans added to their titles at the US Open, the Masters 1000s in Indian Wells, Miami, Monte-Carlo, Cincinnati and Shanghai and other tour events at Delray Beach and Houston. They are the first players, in singles or doubles, to win six ATP World Tour Masters 1000 titles in a season.
The California natives have lifted the Paris trophy four times, previously triumphing in 2005, 2007 and 2013. The Bros. are now on the train to London right now and they look forward to spending a few days at the beautiful home of Peter Segal as they get ready for the Masters Cup at the 02 Arena. They are honorary members of the Queens Club and will practice there for the next few days.

*Following the Masters Cup at the O2 Arena, the Bros. and their families will fly direct to the British Virgin Islands to once again play the fun filled Necker Cup, hosted by the dynamic and charismatic icon, Sir Richard Branson. The event raises some very big dollars for charities including the Bryan Brothers Foundation. Besides Mike ‘n Bob, other tennis stars include: Bjorn Borg, Boris Becker, Brad Gilbert, Kim Clijsters, Jennifer Capriati, and Genie Bouchard. Big thanks to Rem Reynolds, Trevor Short, Mike Richards, Kelly Devivo, and Lynne O’Hara Cefole for all they do to make this event such an epic winner. * In conjunction with emceeing the Necker Cup, Coach Wayne Bryan will also head up the Legends Camp at Little Dix Bay on November 18-22, with his longtime pal and former tour doubles star and WTT Coach, Murphy Jensen. The camp is limited to 40 people and as we write this, it is almost sold out.
