Valencia Open 500

Tommy Robredo dethroned undefeated champion Feliciano Lopez in the fourth edition of “Corona’s Longest Serve” competition on Monday at the City of Arts and Sciences, venue of the Valencia event.

The Spaniard hit the ball a distance of 72m in his “Corona’s Longest Serve” debut, surpassing Lopez’s 68m and John Isner’s 67m. Lopez still maintained the all-time record for farthest serve, 74m, which he set last year.

As the winner, Robredo claimed a cheque of €2000, which he donated to Fundació Tommy Robredo.
