RAFAEL NADAL AND RONALDO TO MEET AGAIN AT THE POKER TABLE , THIS TIME ON LONDON

Rafael Nadal and ex-Brazilian footballer Ronaldo will square off at the gaming table in live head-to-head poker match, billed as “The Duel,” with Nadal accepting the challenge of the November 6 showdown in London.

The hyped-up event will be streamed live for avid poker fans around the world, according to Nadal’s sponsor.

Nadal is currently out of tennis as a wrist injury heals, with little known of his current condition, The 28-year-old would have had plenty of time to be studying his gambling strategy during weeks of inactivity after last playing at Wimbledon three months ago.

The footballer and the racquet artist last faced off in December in Prague in an event which raised around $165,000 for charity. Nadal won that first encounter, with some of his success possibly credited to beginner’s luck. It was my first live poker tournament when I last played against Ronaldo and one year later I’m more confident with my skill level. I really enjoy playing poker and the challenge of learning as quickly as possible, so I cant wait to get back into training on my game and to play against Ronaldo.

Ronaldo added: I challenged Rafa to a rematch after finding out he was preparing for another live poker game. The last time we played together Rafa won the match and it was a lot of fun. This time it will be different, though, because I have been improving on my own poker strategy and will be more prepared.

EDITORS NOTE : We love you RAFA & Benito & team. But We Wonder what’s up with this wrist injury story ? He is playing a tennis exhibition and now a poker showdown in London. Isn’t that about the same time as the Barclays year end championship for the top 8 players in the world. So what’s up with Rafa not currently playing tennis on the ATP world tennis tour ?
