PRINCE SW19 BRAND STORE TO HOST PLAYER APPEARANCES &

FAN PROMOTIONS THROUGHOUT WIMBLEDON FORTNIGHT

As the tennis craze hits The Wimbledon Championships once again this year and thousands of fans flock to the home of tennis, Prince is taking full advantage by offering different promotions and activities centered at the Prince SW19 brand store in the heart of Wimbledon Village. Opening just prior to Wimbledon last year, Prince SW19 is the brand’s flagship retail store and has been a phenomenal success for Prince. With more activities planned for this year, Prince will ensure the momentum continues for their retail brand location.

Beginning on Sunday, June 22nd, at the Westside Lawn Tennis Club, World #1 Doubles Team the Bryan Brothers will be making an appearance giving advice to youngsters on-court while enjoying some light practice with members and signing autographs. The Westside event starts at 2:00 p.m. and welcomes everyone in the local community to come out and meet the Bryans Brothers.

At the SW19 Prince store, there will be a daily prize drawing at 9:00 p.m. during The Wimbledon Championships with one lucky winner each day winning up to £320.00 in Prince merchandise to be kitted out from head-to-toe. For a chance to win this daily prize, tennis fans will need one of the 1,500 flyers being distributed daily by Prince during the tournament in the Village and the surrounding areas completed with their contact details and handed in at the Prince store. In addition to this, Prince will also be giving away free of charge a tube of NX Tour Tennis balls with every purchase over £30.00 and a Tour team backpack on purchases over £200.00.

“Last year, the pro player appearances were a huge success at the Prince SW19 store and 2014 is shaping up to be the same,” said Olivia Clement, Prince Marketing Manager. “Throughout The Championships, there will be Prince player meet-and-greet sessions that tennis fans can attend with more information on the Prince Tennis facebook and twitter pages on when to come out and join us.”

The Prince SW19 Store in Wimbledon Village caters to both aspiring professionals and recreational players alike. The brand store showcases the entire Prince collection of squash and tennis racquets, along with footwear, luggage, apparel and accessories. Conveying its image as a premium, authentic racquet sports brand, Prince’s flagship store offers a unique opportunity for consumers to enjoy the complete Prince brand experience.

As part of that experience, the Prince SW19 store incorporates a ‘Tech Point’ where players can receive the highest level in racquet customization services – ranging from racquet re-stringing and gripping to changing the weight and balance of frames.

“Duncan Callan, Store Manager, is a qualified Master Racquet Technician and has been a key member of the stringing team at The Wimbledon Championships for five of the last six years,” added Clement. “He is now able to bring his wealth of experience and expertise to the Prince store and ensure the industry’s best services levels for all of our Prince customers.”
