Indian Wells is the place to be if you love tennis. Charlie had a dream but Larry Ellison is a man of action and the same wind that powers his sails in the Americas cup in his Oracle boats brought new life into this event. It was always a favorite. But Larry gave it the magic touch and supercharged it. How do you explain how he has done more in 24 months than had happened in 12 years ! We can’t even begin to describe what this event is like. State of the art comes to mind. Where would one begin ? He has upgraded every possible court and already his stadium 2 is top rate. Larry loves 10s. Our sport couldn’t have a better Guardian of the game.The plan is to build two more permanent stadiums by next year. He had already leveled the playing field by installing hawk eye on every court. Now he is truly made this the 5th slam. Miami can’t even come close. Sorry Miami or Key Biscayne or the Sony something. Unless you get a billionaire with the vision of our dear Larry you are now just the event after Indian Wells.

We aren’t sure what the attendance is but it has to be BIG numbers. Saturdays matches are so stacked and jam packed that I need 12 of me just to cover the action. Li Na , Andy Murray , Roger Federer , Maria Sharapova , Rafael Nadal , the Bryan Bros, Ana Ivanovic , and that’s just to name a few …
