On Monday, March 3, in conjunction with World Tennis Day, the International Tennis Hall of Fame will announce the Enshrinement Class of 2014.
The entire newly elected class will be available on this media conference call for reactions and a question & answer session. Members of the class will also be taking part in World Tennis Day festivities around the globe.
Enshrinement in the International Tennis Hall of Fame is the highest honor available in the sport of tennis. The nominees on the 2014 ballot were: former world No. 1 and 6-time Grand Slam tournament champion Lindsay Davenport; Mary Pierce, who won two Grand Slam tournament titles in singles, one in doubles, and one in mixed doubles; 1994 Wimbledon Champion Conchita Martinez; Chantal Vandierendonck, who became the first ITF World Champion for wheelchair tennis in 1991; legendary tennis coach Nick Bollettieri, who has guided 10 players to world No. 1 status; longtime tennis industry leader Jane Brown Grimes, who has held executive leadership roles with the WTA, USTA, and the International Tennis Hall of Fame; and British tennis broadcaster and author John Barrett.
