2014 is the Year of the Horse in Chinese zodiac

Editors note: Brett was exhausted. He felt like he had played a five setter with no breaker but being the champion that he is , he came up with a postcard for us after his 18 hour day ended.
So is it Li Na, or Na Li, Na Li or Li Na, I can never get it right! Well after Saturday night in Melbourne you can just call her, The 2014 Australian Open Champion how about that? After reaching the final twice before losing tough matches to Victoria Azarenka and Kim Clijsters, she wasn’t going to let another opportunity get away as she put an end to the amazing RUN that Dominika Cibulkova has had the past two week 7-6 6-0. Cibulkova hung in there for a long hard fought set but had nothing left in the tank for the 2nd set as Li ran her side to side with using powerful groundstrokes to wear down her opponent. Now this would already be a big story as its her 2nd grand slam title and third final in Melbourne, but this is an especially big deal since it happened here at the Australian Open, the Grand Slam of the Asia/Pacific! Li just happens to be Chinese, the Chinese new year is a week away, Melbourne has a large Asian community, who filled Federation Square to watch her win on a huge jumbotron. This is a big deal for women’s tennis and tennis in general, this will help spread the game to a region of the world that has not even come close to being fully developed as far as its tennis talent goes. In 5-10 years when we look back, like we do now in golf, don’t be surprised to see more Chinese players at the top of the rankings. And theres one name we will all point to and say thats who started it all, Li Na, Na Li, Li Na?! Ah, I give up, 2014 Australian Open Champ!!!!
