Seiko Watch Company has invited the media attending the Australia Open to attend the official announcement of an unnamed major endorsement on Friday morning. The invitation was printed on a card containing a photograph of Novak Djokovic who is not known to be an endorsee of Seiko Watch.
Roger Federer defeated Jo-Wilfried Tsonga 6-7 (5-7), 6-3, 7-5 in a spirited charity exhibition played in front of 14,000 fans at the Rod Laver arena. Federer and Friends was staged to raise money for the Swiss player’s charity for under-privileged South African children, which he began 10 years ago and which has so far helped 86,000 kids with a goal of touching the lives of one million by 2018.
The world No.6 and his French opponent thrilled the crowd at an event where tennis legend Rod Laver warmed up Federer before the match. “It was a big night for me, I’m looking forward to another ten years for my foundation,” said Federer. ”
