While the rest of the tennis world takes the Holiday’s off…RadioTennis.com takes a different path and is proud to announce the launch of “Holiday Sessions”. Four intimate interviews with some of the most important and eclectic people in tennis today. It all begins on Christmas Day, December 25th.
“Basically, there’s no compelling tennis taking place anywhere in the world between December 25 and December 31,” states RadioTennis.com‘s CEO Ken Thomas.”So we thought we would fill that gap and give our listeners something unique to listen to and think about.”
“The “Holiday Sessions” will consist of four separate one-hour, live interviews with four gentlemen that have a very unique relationship with tennis. If you have been a fan of professional tennis over the years, you will absolutely savor these interviews.”
Interviewees Include:
Berry Buss: Author of First in a Field of Two – A Junior Tennis Memoir. Barry Buss was a top ranked junior player in the United States. He was also a member of the elite USTA Junior Davis Cup Team and played #1 Singles for UCLA before the crush of family pressure, drug addiction and alcoholism changed the course of his life.
Steve Simon: Steve Simon just might be the most important man in tennis today. He is the Tournament Director of the vibrant, profitable and unstoppable $5,000,000 BNP Paribas Open at Indian Wells and he also sits on the Board of Directors of the Women’s Tennis Association.
Lornie Kuhle: Lornie Kuhle has been a personal friend and confidant of Jimmy Connors for years. He is reference consistently throughout Connor’s new book, The Outsider. He was also Bobby Riggs’ manager during the historic Bobby Riggs vs. Billie Jean King / Battle of the Sexes match. He is also the man responsible for bringing the USA vs. Great Britain Davis Cup match to San Diego this coming January.
Greg Gonzales: Greg Gonzales is the nephew of the great Pancho Gonzales. He can accurately articulate everything from the Gonzales family’s Mexican-American lineage to Pancho becoming a global tennis icon. He saw it all and he knows it all. He lived it. Nobody can provide you with a more intimate and precise picture of Pancho Gonzales than Greg Gonzales. Plus, he promised to pull out some private family memorabilia that has never been shared with the public before.
