Britain’s Lawn Tennis Association Extends Partnership With Nike
Nike extends its deal with Nike, with a new arrangement, which will begin in January 2014, will see Nike step up from Official Supplier to become an Official Partner of British Tennis and in doing so assume title sponsorship of several elite junior tournaments including the LTA staged ITF Junior Internationals, the British Junior National Championships and the Winter National Tour Finals.
At the same time the LTA will continue to oversee the delivery of the Nike Junior Tour in the UK.
While supporting junior tennis, Nike will also provide clothing and footwear to all LTA performance coaching staff, as well as providing official team kit for all junior and senior GB national teams including the Aegon GB Davis Cup and Fed Cup Teams.
Nike joined the LTA’s commercial program in 2009 and LTA Commercial Director, Lawrence Robertson, said: “It’s such a strong endorsement of an organization when a brand of Nike’s caliber chooses to work with you.
“We take great pride in working closely with the team at Nike and our new deal will see their involvement deepen across junior tennis in the UK, both in terms of competition and involvement in our grassroots programs.”
