Andy Murray, who bought Cromlix House in Perthshire, Scotland for more than $3 million dollars, has hired Darin Campbell, the executive head chef at the luxury Hotel du Vin, to run the kitchen at his hotel.
Campbell will take over in January and according to The Scotsman, will create a mid-priced menu for the hotel’s Chez Roux restaurant.
“I am very excited to be stepping up my culinary career at Cromlix House, and working with its extremely talented management team in a state-of-the-art kitchen where diners can watch us working. One Devonshire Gardens has been pretty frustrating because of the limited space and the tight budget. At Cromlix House the focus will be firmly on food and service,” Campbell said.
Cromlix House is currently being refurbished and is due to reopen in April next year. Inverlochy Castle Management International manages it on behalf of Murray.
