The most unusual tournament of the year will be held later this month in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina.

What makes this tournament so unusual is its surface; clay on one side of the net and hard court on the other side.

Women’s Division of Hybrid Open 2013 will be played October 25-27 in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina with entry deadline of October 19. It is an Open tournament with winner receiving $ 1000 and finalist $500.

This unique surface enables the competitors to show off their tennis skills to the max. Creativity, versatility and ability to adapt as well as mental toughness play a huge role in winning on the hybrid. It is a lot of fun for the players and the spectators. Men’s division was played in March of 2013. Players from 4 different continents and 5 different countries competed.
