INDIAN WELLS, Calif., September 18, 2013 – The BNP Paribas Open, the largest ATP World Tour and WTA combined two-week event in the world to be held March 3-16, 2014 at the Indian Wells Tennis Garden, has renewed its television broadcast agreement with ESPN through 2020, it was announced today by Steve Simon, tournament director.
The 2014 edition of the tournament will once again culminate on ESPN2 on Friday, March 14, ESPNEWS on Saturday March 15, and both singles finals will air live back-to-back on ESPN2 Sunday, March 16. Beginning in 2015, coverage of the final weekend of the tournament will be on ESPN2 on Friday and on ABC on Saturday and Sunday.
“We are pleased to renew our agreement with ESPN, and excited to bring the BNP Paribas Open to their audiences through 2020,” said Simon. “We believe that ESPN and ABC deliver high-quality exposure that showcases our event to fans throughout the country, and supports the continued growth of the tournament.”
In addition to the television broadcast, the tournament will continue to be available on ESPN3, ESPN’s live multi-screen sports network, a 24/7 destination that delivers thousands of global sports events annually via WatchESPN.
In total, more than 300 hours of action from the BNP Paribas Open will be broadcast across ESPN platforms.
