Yesterday was one of those days that is time to recover after having had 3 girls get through to the 3rd round! You are now into the tournament and routines are set and nothing much changes for the player!
However besides the warmups and the doubles and mixed doubles matches being played by some of our players I get now the chance to have meetings and catch up with all of the managers who are here for their players and for the next Generation!
Yesterday the qualifying event for Junior started which means that courts to practise become under pressure and scarcity is a fact! Unless you come in early you will find yourself with 4 players on one court!
I arrived on site at 8 Am and got back 5 and that was my shortest day since the time I arrived almost 2 weeks ago!
The schedule was released early and it have a me chance to go for my 3 rd run in Central Park and load my batteries for a big day at the office!
The players lounge will now start to fill up with juniors who are allowed to come into the grounds and have their entourage credentialed and it will be another tournament! Today is also the day where players get the chance to get into the 2nd week of a grand slam! At that moment it is as if an other tournament starts and the internal dynamics change.
Having 2 matches on the big court Arthur Ashe stadium is a very special day in the making! Getting ready for my super Saturday
