These are the days that the total magic is going to happen! Over the next 5 to 7 days it will be a mad house as all players and their teams arrive in NY and when I have to juggle many players and their schedules! Besides that the challenge is to get all of the players a court and a time that I can be with them!
Yesterday it started with getting hotel rooms, courts, sparring partners all in order besides the 5 sessions on court.
But I am in NY and could not resist to take this little music video for inspiration at the concession stand with all the 2013 new memorabilia!

Like last year the qualifying event is broadcasted live and even the “DirectTV Blimp” was hovering above the grounds! It definitely beats the rolling camera at the French that was located on a miniature airbus plane!
As I was about to go home and passing by the courts of the qualifying it was great to see the guy with the Best Tennis Name on court and hanging in there to make it to the next round.
TENNYS as a first name and playing at the open must be a dream for the kid and his entire family
Sorry to keep it short but I got to run it was another long day and my alarm went of at 6! The 2 hours of traveling a day is taking a big chunk out of the day each time and is one of the bigger challenges of the US Open!
