This is Day 3 for me but Day 1 for the US Open qualifying event. On my arrival this morning it was a different energy already. Many players and their teams were going through their last min preparations in getting ready for the big day of qualifying for the Last Slam of the year.
Also the NYPD (New York Police Department was making its mark on the event with road blocks and security measures being taken.
Security was also being applied to the players coaches and their guest today on arrival at the entrance to the building of the entire players complex. On arrival we had to stay in line to get out “Bag Check”
Within the faculty additional measurements are in place where your credential is being checked in and out with an electronic device. These measurements are not always fun when you are in a hurry or under stress. So you must add and additional 30 min to your travel time to get ready to prepare for your day.
Today was another great day and it was a great practise session between Ana Ivanovic a d Kirsten Flipkens on the Arthur Ashe Stadium Center (biggest stage if tennis) Court.
They actually had a bet in who would win the TBreak but I leave it in the middle who won the Bet.
Of course the coaches of Both players and I had to get our picture taken
Right afterwords I was on my way to Grand stand where I was meeting Kiki Mladenovic who arrived last night and was able to get a full 1.5 hour or work done on her 1st day at The Open.
From The US Open to the city where we were invited to attend the Andy Murray Event at the NY adidas Performance Store in Soho! An 2 hour event for press and fans to get a chance to spend some time with the Defending Champion of The US Open.
This will be my home for the coming weeks and I can’t wait for another day tomorrow.
