Day 8

Day 8 |

I believe it was Day 8 (Thursday) but I do know it was a perfect day of tennis in Cincinnati again. A nice cool breeze and the sun shining bright!

The alarm went off, like everyday,at 6;30 and was on court from 8 till 10 with Kiki and again from 2 till 3. We had a great 3 hours on court.

When we came of the court they had just opened the gates and because of the heat they were handing out free towels to recover during the full day of some great tennis.

We also had a warmup with Caroline who was playing Petra Kvitova on Grand stand. It turned out to be a long wait as she was playing 4th on and luckily Andy made a quick match because the other 2 matches played for over 5 hours!

Caroline had a great match and was able to turns things around after loosing the first set! I am really happy for her that she got the win because she has been working really hard for the whole year. Today she got a great reward and get a chance to play against Vika Azerenka tomorrow night

After her match I had to wait 2 hours to be able to book a court because all of the center court warmups in the morning were booked by male players. The ATP tried to get a hold of the players and coaches to ask if they could move a spot but with no luck so now we will be going out on court at 8 am till 8:50.

Time for me to go to bed and be ready for an other early start!

To be honest I never ever attended a full weekend of Davis Cup. So that is why I needed to take my parents as they also never experienced this phenomenon.
