On day 3 it was a juggling and balancing act again. Luckily no rain because rain is a pain when you are working with 5 different girls at one time.
My day started with Ana Ivanovic at 7:30 Am. Ana wanted to come out to the courts early so she could have the court alone! Because of the qualifying event starting yesterday all the courts were booked for warmups matches and practise sessions.
Because of the crowded courts moat players had to go off site for their 2nd practise session! Most of them try to avoid it because the courts are not the same on the other clubs the use.
After Ana Ayumi was warming up for her qualifying match on stadium court at 9 Am
From the warmup I met up with Christian Mchale who had her warmup at 11 as she was also playing qualifying.
From that qualifying warmup straight to the practise of Caroline Woznaicki. After her practise she was surrounded by fans! Here in Cincinnati they use this weekend for the kids and they come out in 1000s to participate in all kind of activities and watch the players practise up close (the practise sessions of the top players are even printed in the daily program).
It is now 12 and I took my time for lunch before the next session from 2 to 3 with Kiki Mladanovic (our 2013 wimbledon mixed doubles champion, i am very proud to of her since she had lost the finals of the mixed at the French Open)
As the the practice was taking place I had to keep an eye on live score because Christina McHale had signed me as the on court coach for her match! Unfortunately both Ayumi and Christina lost yesterday. And my coaching on court could not make the difference although after coming on court at 0-5 Christina had a better set in the 2nd 0-6 4-6!
After the match my other other task was a head of me, court reservation for the next day. This is at every tournament a challenge and because all of the players are back at the hotel and I am still at the site and want to make sure I get the right times so I can be with the players on court I make sure I am the first in line! And was done before everybody else.
After the signing of the courts It was 6:30 pm and I was heading to the gym for my personal workout.
Afterwords I had a great surprise because my great friend Yury Bettoni and his Player Niclas Genovese came in town to help out with warmups and practise sessions during my practices her in Cinci and at the US open
Another early start today as Niclas will warmup Monica Puig today for her 2nd round qualifying match.
