What ever happened to “plus one” ? Now it’s 10 in every entourage . For real most players travelled by themselves or a buddy or a coach or a parent or a girlfriend / guy friend. No I’m not saying They are bringing more friends. They rarely have spare room for a friend. They are lucky if they can get a ticket or guest passes for parents or grandparents or siblings. But now let’s get to the really nitty gritty. The support team. The practice partner. The coach. The physic.? The physio ,a trainer,The dietician. The head shrinker. The publicist. The agent. The manager. The massage therapist. the stringer.

In the Case of Roger Federer please add two nannies. Some players have chefs or jets with pilots and family co ordinator. Maybe even security. Then add the pro Golfers or pro poker players that tag along. Or other pro athlete friends or celebrities. Or in Andy Murray’s case Grandma Shirley’s dear friend Jan. In Hollywood you would add hair and make up . Did Agassi ?

Our seat in the players boxes have been some of our greatest highs and lows. It’s so painful to see your player get cramps or hurt or frustrated. It’s so electric when your player wins. The box goes crazy. The energy is overwhelming as our the tears of joy or sadness.

Ok. We don’t see the sport shrinks often enough. The private chefs are for the Davis cup and we never saw a physic but it might help. ?
