Today the rain stopped play for a few hours and as the court crew was having a chat and on standby to cover the courts I was witnessing something that I have not seen all week! All courts were empty! A week ago it was 4 on a court and lucky to get a hit in!

During such rain delays the media is always looking for a story and as we were waiting for the rain to stop Martina Navratilova and young and upcoming American girl Taylor Townsend were having workout on court with wooden rackets! Mary Carillo was interviewing and interacting with the legend and a young very talented player!

How good would it be if Wimbledon would adopt the rule of the Major league in Baseball where the professionals are only allowed to play with Wooden Bats! Wimbledon whites and Wooden rackets. “wWw”

On day 9 we were witnessing a very special day especially when the day was over done with! We are looking at a semi Final line up with not only a new 1st ever Wimbledon Champion but also a grand slam champion.

To be honest I never ever attended a full weekend of Davis Cup. So that is why I needed to take my parents as they also never experienced this phenomenon.
