CHEFS ANNOUNCED for 2013 BNP Paribas Taste of Tennis

On August 22nd, the 14th Annual BNP Paribas Taste of Tennis kicks off the US Open in NYC with some of the world’s greatest chefs! Epicurious.com exclusively revealed our incredible lineup, which includes veterans who have been honored by the James Beard Foundation and one of the “Most Influential Americans.” We also present the very best of a new generation of up-and-coming culinary artists and some of the most mouth watering desserts you’ll ever have. “TOP CHEF” & “IRON CHEF” Reunions!

This year, our event features EIGHT alumni members from popular culinary shows: Jimmy Bradley (Top Chef Masters Season 2), Floyd Cardoz (Top Chef Masters Season 3 Winner), Leah Cohen (Top Chef Season 5), Harold Dieterle (Top Chef Season 1 Winner), Dale Talde (Top Chef Season 4) and Jonathan Waxman (Top Chef Masters Seasons 2 & 3). Additionally, they will be joined by Jehangir Mehta (Iron Chef, The Next Iron Chef) and Marc Murphy (Iron Chef, Chopped). Come see your favorite celebrity chefs on 8/22! As always, this year’s Taste of Tennis will offer an abundance of international delights. Guests can visit up to 25 chef stations and sample a wide array of culinary creations. They can stop by the Jamaica Tourist Board’s lounge which will showcase authentic cuisine and the sounds of the island courtesy of a live reggae band. Or, guests can try samples from LYFE Kitchen’s healthy Sixth Sense Lounge. For a sneak peak of the great food and drink to come, here is a recipe for Russian Standard Vodka’s Moscow Mule:

Standard Moscow Mule

2 oz Russian Standard Vodka

4 oz Premium Ginger Beer

½ oz Fresh Lime Juice (or squeeze half a lime)

Garnish: Wedge of Lime

Add ice to the copper mug, followed by Russian Standard Vodka and a squeeze of a lime wedge. Top with ginger beer and garnish with a fresh lime wedge.
