QUOTES:

Novak Djokovic:

“Everything is going according to plan and hopefully I can get in the best possible shape for the start of Wimbledon. I know what I need to do in order to adjust from the slowest to the fastest service in a very short period of time.

There’s no bigger motivation than playing in the most prestigious tournament in the world in our sport, the one that I always dreamed of winning. I won it two years ago and it’s definitely been the highlight of my career. I love playing at Wimbledon.

Grass is the most special surface we have in the sport; the oldest also. We play on it only a few weeks a year so we better use it wisely. I like playing on it and it makes me aggressive on the court. Hopefully I can raise the level of my game as the tournament goes on.”

Grigor Dimitrov:

“It’s a great feeling to play against him. I mean, especially today. I hope we had an entertaining match but at the same time a very positive match.

Marin Cilic:

“It was very difficult because Alexandr is an extremely difficult opponent, who has a completely other kind of game to anyone else. It wasn’t easy and the court felt a bit quicker and it wasn’t easy to get returns in. Movement is the key on grass and the players who are adapting quicker are the ones who are able to get to a higher level.”

Alexandr Dolgopolov

“I feel I’m playing pretty well now, so I’m confident going into Wimbledon and I think play some good matches there. I don’t have a game that is simple so sometimes I’m really up and down. I think I could do quarters, I think I can lose first round. It’s how it goes on grass.”
