Today was a perfect day for tennis and like every other tournament they all need some help!
The Topshelf Open got what they asked for! A Sunday start with perfect blue weather! Since they had all dutch players in center court it was a full house.
Before I started my day I went up to the players lounge and took in the views from the players terrace! I know it is not Wimbledon but to see a green court as part if the view it all is very special!
4 weeks of Grass court tennis for the tour and I am glad we will get one additional week in the near future!
It was great watching Garbine Muguruza qualify for the main draw and get some gras court experience! Keep an eye on her for having a great career!
It becoming more and more part of the tournaments and tennis activities are a must to keep the spectators coming back! The Dutch Federation is showing their tennis kids initiative on 4 mini tennis courts and other tennis entertainment during the entire week
Personally I enjoyed giving a tennis clinic at the end of the day on behalf of adidas and Topshelf together with Arantxa Rus! We had 11 participants who had won the prize and received a full day of watching tennis and the chance of playing on a real grass court! Of course Arantxa was their highlight of the day!
Tomorrow will be a full day of tennis and all of the players are on the schedule except Daniela Hantuchova who won her 6th career tittle in Birmingham! Congrats for her commitment and perseverance!
