Sam Querrey tabs Steve Johnson and Jack Sock as the two younger US players who can do the most damage. . . Stanislas Wawrinka said that his thigh injury is healing and he felt great in his first round win at the French Open. The Swiss added that his coach, Sweden’s Magnus Norman, will continue to work with him through Wimbledon and the two have to put their calendars together and figure out the rest of their summer. . . Former top 10 player Mario Ancic of Croatia, who is now attending Columbia Wall School, is now interning in the NBA’s legal department. . . The Williams sisters pulled out of Roland Garros doubles so that Venus Williams would have more time to rest her sore back. . . It appears that Mardy Fish will return at the tournament at Queen’s.
