We are deep in the first week and approaching the 2nd week of a slam and as it slows down at the same time it speeds up!
Fewer players are left in the main draw but the juniors are striking down this Saturday and next week is also the week if wheelchair tennis.
Today started with a warmup on the court Suzanne Lenglen where Sorana would play Serena!
I got there early to welcome Sorana and her team but at the end it did not help her to defeat Serena today! There were some chances but even though numbers did not show it was close but in the 2 nd set at 2-2 and 15-40 on serve of Serena there was a window of opportunity! Unfortunately it closed quickly!
This little things make a big difference and we know in tennis it is about the small differences! Even the umpire has help to identify a let call by a small sensor at the net!
After the loss I went back to the lounge for the adidas player development program team photoshoot and a bite to eat! Before heading to the last match of the day of Monica Puig! Unfortunate she ended up loosing her 3rd round match today!
Ayumi and Sorana won their doubles match but did not watch as they were playing an other adidas player by the name of Aranxta Rus from The Netherlands.
As I was heading back home they were showing the highlights and interviews on the big screen on court 1( the bull ring as it is called by many)!
Looking forward to dinner in preparation for day 7 in Paris!
