This documentary is a terrific inside look of the 2 tennis champions and what they have gone through since their father put a tennis racquet in their hands.

The story bounces between scenes as children and life on the tour as recent as last year. The filmage of the young girls is priceless, precious and endearing. It shows how bright,thoughtful and soulful Venus was from an early age and how Serena always looked up to her big sister. The bond between the 2 sisters is undeniable.

Their happiness, self-worth and sense of humor shines throughout too!

The “star” appearances and commentary of former President Bill Clinton , Billie Jean King, comedian Chris Rock and others add a strong charismatic dimension to the movie.

Some of the tournament “playbacks” are hard to watch- “the poor behavior by Serena” and the sad news that Venus has to withdraw from the US Open. The raw honesty between their parents, Richard and Oracene lend a rather comical dynamic

“Venus and Serena” is a must see for any tennis fan ( young and old) and for those who want to enjoy an inspirational story!!

The girls HAVE gone through alot in their young lives and they have achieved incredible amounts of success despite all odds!

Their real-life story is still unfolding but for now the movie shows how “powerful” 2 sisters from Compton can and have become!
