Sharapova And Dimitrov Are Now An Item

Rumors about the latest tennis romance between Maria Sharapova and Grigor Dimitrov have been rife for several weeks but the couple has now taken their relationship public, literally. The pair have been caught by a series of paparazzi photographs kissing and cuddling in the streets of Madrid.

Sharapova and Dimitriov were caught by the photographers’ lens publicly displaying their affection during a romantic evening stroll through the streets of Madrid on Wednesday, less than 24 hours after Dimitrov defeated world no.1 Novak Djokovic, at the Mutua Madrid Open.

The two were dressed casually. Sharapova, aged 26, wearing a striped black pullover and scarf over a long gray T-shirt, black and yellow bird-printed pajama trousers along with flat ballet pump shoes. Dimitrov, more than four years her junior, wore a red hooded sweatshirt pulled up over a black woolen hat, gray Nike sweatpants and blue Nike shoes.

The pair has reportedly been an item since the start of the year, although neither player has officially confirmed the relationship.

Last month Sharapova made a gift of a blue convertible Porsche 911 4S sports car, part of her prize for successfully defending the Porsche Tennis Grand Prix title with a final win over Li Na. “I am not a car collector but my friend is mad about them,” said Sharapova after receiving her prize.

Sharapova called off her engagement to basketball player Sasha Vujacica almost a year ago. This month she appears on the front cover of this month’s Esquire magazine’s Latin America edition wearing a flesh colored swimsuit.
