The retired Andy Roddick has not only bought into World Team Tennis as an investor, but apparently Fox wants him for its soon-to-come three-hour Fox Sports Live program that will air nightly.
Sports Illustrated reported that Fox is putting a ton of money into the new venture and that Roddick fits into their plans
The show is Fox’s challenge to ESPN’s SportsCenter. Sports Illustrated says that Fox Sports Live is expected to have more than a dozen regulars and a rotating cast of former athletes/analysts. Fox is said to be paying more money than most ESPN staffers make.
Roddick currently appears on a Fox Sports Radio show with Bobby Bones. Fox Sports Live will launch on Aug. 17. It is expected to make around 200 hires.
