– Williams is into his first career ATP quarterfinal.
– Both Williams and Berankis came into this event having never won an ATP-level clay court tournament.
– Isner has reached the quarterfinals at River Oaks for the third year in a row and the fourth time in five years.
– Ginepri is into his first ATP quarterfinal since 2009 in Moscow. He is now 10-2 in Texas this year and has won five in a row this week in Houston, including three in qualifying.
– The four-time champion Bryan twins have won 18 consecutive matches in Houston. They are 799-254 in their career.
