Sven's Postcard - Miami Sony Open Day 5   |

Tough day at the office when your 3 players loose their 3rd matches!
1st Andrea Petkovic 2nd Caroline Wozniacki 3rd Ayumi Morita
They all played tough matches but I have to say they gave their best and were beaten by girls that had a better day!
Both Caroline and Andrea played on court 2 back to back which meant sitting in the sun for 4 hours! You don’t hear me complain if you know the weather in europe!
Both girls lost to the next generation if players Alja Tomljanovic of croatia (trains at evert and Chrissie was there for the whole Match and Garbine Miguruza of spain )

Ayumi played in center court in front of a full stadium (her 1st night match) against the local favorite Serena Williams ! She took the lead in the 1st set with 3-0 and really put pressure on Serena! They had played also in the 3 round in Australia and it was another great experience for Ayumi! Serena was victorious but coach Junichi of Ayumi had a chance to do the on court coaching today (I wonder if they could  translate the Japanese coaching on @tennistv )

Tomorrow Sorana will play 2nd match on center and it is an other adidas versus adidas encounter!
So adi team will be neutral and watching the girls compete!
Look forward to another day @sonytennisopen

It was the end of an era at Crandon Park for the Miami Open last year. From the Lipton, to the Nasdaq 100, to the Sony Ericsson, to the Sony, to the Miami Open presented by Itau, Key Biscayne saw it all.
