Day 7 started with an early practise with Ayumi Morita (turned 23 years old today) from 8 to 10 (1 hour summer time change, it meant 7 am the day before)
It was a beautiful day and there was no cloud in the sky, we finished at 9:50 am
As we were about to walk of the court we were shaken by an earthquake of 5.1 on the Richter scale! Junichi the coach if Ayumi felt it first and we heard the bleachers of court 3,6,8 crack!
I needed some time to reflect on things and took in the view of the perfect tennis garden at the BNP ParisBas Open
Warmup with Caroline was at 12:30 and we were visited by an WTA representative to inform us the match of Nadal was a walkover from Mayer and Caro needed to report at 2:20 for her match which was scheduled not before 2:30 (players need to be flexible and ready to adapt to any changes)
During the match the sun was boiling and sitting in the front row I made sure I kept my long sleeve on! Caroline came through with a win and will get another chance to play on center court tomorrow!
Today it was a packed house and with the new bleachers overlooking the practise courts being guarded and people standing in line to get a look at one of many practise sessions it shows the growth of the entire tournament!
Now of to bed and get ready for day 8
