It started with blue sky’s at 8:30am at the BNP PARISBAS OPEN sitting at the new extended player terrace and before I knew it was 4pm!
The schedule of the 1st week is very challenging, between practices and matches and meetings with players and coaches there is very little free time to sit down and reflect on things!
So, lunch was at 4 today and the day was extended due the fact that Daniela Hantuchova was battling it out on stadium 2 and won in 3 sets!
By the time we left the temperature had dropped to about 50 degrees but the wind had calmed down!
Working for a great brand like adidas you never have to worry of not being prepared for any weather because they supply us with the best possible product to adapt to any situation!
Tomorrow we will have to fight of some rain and many upsets may occur due to the hectic weather.
In all if my 22 years of coming here (1992 was my first year with Seles who won the tournament held at the Hyatt)
I have never had a day of rain (we had snow and a sand storm that caused some problems and delays)
To all of the people that come out tomorrow take your winter coat, a hat, gloves and some hot drink in a thermo bottle because you will need some help!
However I look forward to day 4 in the dessert!
