Loser: Jarkko Nieminen, ranking increased 26 places, 59%, from #44 to #70.
Nieminen won Sydney last year; this year, he lost in the quarterfinal to Tomic.
Ranking Notes
It was a typical week of 250 point events: Not much happened. Nieminen fell 59%, and Rochus 42%, but no one else fell more than 13%. And Tomic was the only player to rise more than 15%; indeed, only Tomic, Levine, Kevin Anderson (up 14%, to #31), Gael Monfils (up 13%, to #86), and Xavier Malisse (up 11%, to #55) managed to rise more than 9%.
