Babolat will launch the latest generation of the Aeropro Drive racquet and its Propulse 4 shoe for the holiday season.
Rafael Nadal plays with Aeropro Drive, which is now entering its fifth generation and was first introduced 10 years ago. The Aeropro Drive is said to be synonymous with power and spin, and is used by numerous players such as Nadal and Jo-Wilfried Tsonga.
The latest Aeropro Drive uses the new Cortex Active Technology, which brings players more feel to perfectly control spin with each shot. It also employs a Woofer system, which allows the frame and strings to interact for more feel and accuracy when hitting the ball.
The Aeropro drive Range will be available on December 12 and will retail for $199. It comes with a 100 square-inch head and weighs 10.6 ounces unstrung.
The new Propulse 4 was developed in close collaboration with Andy Roddick from the standpoint of design and game characteristics. The shoe is said to help players get to the ball faster. It features a Side 2 Side system that is said to improve lateral movements to bring greater reactivity to the foot when launching forward and restores balance with every step for better footwork. The Propulse 4 was developed in collaboration with Michelin, experts on traction.
