Player News

We aren’t going to do a full Movers report for last week; it’s pretty pointless to do one in a week when only four players were involved in singles action above the Challenger level. But we will mention one substantial rankings move. Radek Stepanek didn’t just win the Davis Cup for the Czech Republic. He also won an Australian Open seed. Probably, anyway. His Cup-deciding win last Sunday was enough to let him rise from #37 to #31. Which should translate into seeding barring something very surprising in the next seven weeks.
