John McEnroe and Ivan Lendl are to clash at the Royal Albert Hall in London on Friday December 9 after the draw for the Statoil Masters Tennis, which runs December 5-9-, was made.
In Group A of the Legends event, McEnroe and Lendl were drawn against Jeremy Bates, with Group B featuring the 1987 Wimbledon champion Pat Cash, seven-time Grand Slam champion Mats Wilander and Henri Leconte.
In the ATP Champions Tour event, Group A sees Tim Henman and Goran Ivanisevic clashing in a reprisal of the 2001 Wimbledon final, alongside Sweden’s Thomas Enqvist. Group B pits former World No.1 Carlos Moya, making his debut at the event, against the 2003 Wimbledon finalist Mark Philippoussis and Fabrice Santoro
The players will also star in doubles competition alongside the ever-popular Mansour Bahrami and Peter McNamara.
On Thursday 6th December, Britain’s Heather Watson will headline Ladies’ Night in a mixed doubles encounter alongside Tim Henman. They will face Anne Keothavong and Mark Philippoussis.
On Saturday 8th December, the Royal Albert Hall will be transformed into an enchanted Winter Wonderland for the Winter Whites Gala in aid of Centrepoint, the charity which supports homeless 16-25 year-olds in the UK. As well as the stars of the tournament, the gala will be attended by Bjorn Borg, Boris Becker and Chris Evert.
