India ’s Sania Mirza has confirmed that she will continue her doubles partnership with American Bethanie Mattek Sands and will also play mixed doubles at the Australian Open with Bob Bryan.
However, although she is unsure whether she will attempt to play singles early next year, she will continue to play as long as it remains fun.
Mirza, who became the highest ranked Indian woman in singles when she reached No. 27 in 2007, said “I like to fight and will stop only when I stop having the motivation to play.”
She will open a tennis academy in Hyderabad next year and is using the slogan “who after me?” to promote the game in her country.
