The International Tennis Federation (ITF) today launched its official Fed Cup app for iPhone and Android users in advance of this weekend’s Fed Cup by BNP Paribas Final between Czech Republic and Serbia at the O2 Arena in Prague on 3-4 November.
The launch of the Fed Cup app follows the success of the ITF’s Olympic Tennis app and Davis Cup app which were both made available earlier this year.
The Fed Cup app provides fans with live scores, schedules, results, news, photos, rankings, event information, and player and team profiles, and is available for free download on the iTunes App Store and Google Play. Other smartphone users can access a mobile optimised version of the website, equipped with the same features.
The Fed Cup app is part of a wider digital offering that provides comprehensive online coverage of Fed Cup by BNP Paribas, including live scores, reports and videos on FedCup.com, live streaming on FedCup.tv, and social media activity on Facebook and Twitter.
“The launch of the Fed Cup app means that the ITF’s three major competitions all now have enhanced coverage on mobile devices,” said Mat Pemble, ITF Information & Communications Technology Manager. “The Fed Cup digital platforms already attract a large audience, but with instant updates of live scores, news and results, we hope that this dedicated mobile app will allow a greater number of fans to follow the competition wherever they may be.”
